Mission, Vision and Goals of the C2A 5,000 Event:
Mission
To challenge and engage Black men in activities and initiatives that are designed to uplift their families and end the violence in schools and communities throughout Baltimore City.
Vision
To increase the number of Black men in Baltimore City that are committed and involved in the upliftment, restoration and salvation of their families and communities
Goals
- To call every Black man in Baltimore together to join hands and discuss present and future strategies / activities that are necessary to create, maintain and sustain highly functional families and communities.
- To challenge, encourage and mobilize a significant number of Black men to sign on to assist and support – with their time, talents and financial donations existing school, community and faith-based programs that are working to uplift families and reduce violence throughout Baltimore City.
- To strengthen existing male-focused programs and expand the network of services to African American men of all ages.
- To provide participants with critical information and resources that can be used to enhance their life-options and life-opportunities.
